Our Dedicated Doctors

Dr. Rebecca McGovern

Veterinarian

Dr. Rebecca McGovern was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2008, she received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from LSU. After a couple of years, she then traveled abroad and started her veterinary studies in Perth, Western Australia.

After living there for 2.5 years, she received another degree in Veterinary Science in 2013. Dr. McGovern finished her veterinary studies at Mississippi State University and received her DVM in 2017.

Her interests include forensic and internal medicine. She has lived in Indianapolis since 2018, residing with her significant other and their two Labradors, Casper and Oreo.

She enjoys reading psychological thrillers and true crime novels (her favorite author is Stephen King). In her free time, she likes to travel and binge-watch TV shows, including medical and forensic dramas.

Dr. Christal Morita-Keating

Veterinarian

Dr. Christal Morita-Keating is a dedicated veterinarian with a passion for animal care and a commitment to lifelong learning. Born in Indianapolis and raised across several states, she earned her B.S. in Psychology from Wright State University and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2011. During vet school, she was actively involved in surgical and reproductive teams and held leadership roles in the Theriogenology Club.

Dr. Keating has practiced across Ohio, Georgia, and Indiana, serving as Chief of Staff and Relief Veterinarian before founding her own clinic in New Palestine, which she ran from 2015 to 2024. Her professional interests include dentistry, dermatology, behavior, internal medicine, and surgery, with a particular focus on helping pets with chronic conditions.

Outside of work, Dr. Keating enjoys gardening, crafting, cosplay, ballroom dancing, and studying Japanese language and culture. A proud Air Force daughter, she even took flying lessons in high school. She shares her home with two beloved dogs—Elizabeth Lemon and Claire—and has a special affection for Great Danes and guinea pigs.

Dr. Jeremy Caseltine

Veterinarian

Dr. Jeremy Caseltine earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University of Ohio before continuing his education at the University of Illinois, where he obtained his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM). He has always been drawn to the veterinary field, where each day presents a new challenge and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives and health of his patients.

Dr. Jeremy is passionate about client education and loves taking the time to help pet owners understand their pets’ health needs. His approach emphasizes clear communication, ensuring that clients are empowered to make informed decisions for their furry and not so furry companions.

Outside of his veterinary work, Dr. Jeremy enjoys volunteering with refugees in Chicago, as well as hiking and exploring nature. He is also an avid wildlife photographer. A fun fact about Dr. Jeremy is that he can semi-speak Arabic—a skill that adds another unique layer to his connection with diverse communities.

Dr. Jeremy shares his home with three turtles: Rubio, Sheldon, and Squirt, who keep things interesting with their unique personalities.

Our Indy Paws Family

Let’s give it up for the team who makes all the magic happen.

As the Practice Manager at Indy Paws Veterinary Hospital, Kerri brings a deep-rooted passion for animal care and advocacy. She has been a Registered Veterinary Technician since 2010 and has dedicated her career to giving animals the voice and care they deserve. With years of hands-on experience in veterinary medicine, Kerri is proud to support the Indy Paws team and clients in providing the highest quality care.

At home, she is married with three amazing daughters (though not all are still at home) who keep life fun and busy. Her home is also filled with four lovable (and very different!) dogs: Cain, our sweet pit bull rescue; Peter Parker, an adorably chubby dachshund; Capone, a spunky Jack Russell; and Dior, her stylish and sassy Frenchie. When Kerri is not at the hospital, you can find her crafting, embracing all things spooky, exploring amusement parks, or soaking in the magic of Disney.

However, usually you will find her in the pig barn at home or at a local, state, or national Pig shows. Jillian, her boyfriend Paul, and son Caden have 4 dogs, 3 rescue dogs, 4 cats, and over 20 (sometimes during breeding/farrowing season over 100) pigs.
