Dr. Rebecca McGovern

Veterinarian

Dr. Rebecca McGovern was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2008, she received her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from LSU. After a couple of years, she then traveled abroad and started her veterinary studies in Perth, Western Australia.

After living there for 2.5 years, she received another degree in Veterinary Science in 2013. Dr. McGovern finished her veterinary studies at Mississippi State University and received her DVM in 2017.

Her interests include forensic and internal medicine. She has lived in Indianapolis since 2018, residing with her significant other and their two Labradors, Casper and Oreo.

She enjoys reading psychological thrillers and true crime novels (her favorite author is Stephen King). In her free time, she likes to travel and binge-watch TV shows, including medical and forensic dramas.

PRACTICE MANAGER

Matt brings over 20 years of experience in Veterinary medicine to Indy Paws. He is a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) and has a certification in practice management. Matt has a strong background in business administration, client experience, and problem-solving.

Matt’s compassionate and empathetic personality brings much comfort to his staff and clients. He looks forward to getting to know you and helping you provide the best care for your pet families!

In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with his daughter and exotic pets at home (koi, tortoise, bird, and dogs). He also loves being outdoors, camping and hiking.
